Sweet Pouch Swap... Part I

Intercambio de bolsita-neceser... Parte I

About one month ago I signed up for my first swap ever, a pouch swap hosted by the lovely Ros from Sew Delicious. I had never been involved in a craft swap before but this time I was really motivated because as Ros said, she had chosen two lovely things - zip pouches and chocolate (a match made in heaven!). So I headed over to find how I could sign up and after writing a brief description of our style and preferences, Ros sorted out the participants and got us all partnered off.

The information we had was very simple:
- Make a zipper pouch or similar item and purchase some chocolates or sweets to send to your recipient.
- Your item must be sent by February 15th 2013.
- She also encouraged a little bit of stalking via Pinterest, Instagram, Blog, Flickr... to see what our partner's style was.
- Easy peasy, right?

Hace aproximadamente un mes me inscribí en mi primer intercambio online, un intercambio de una bolsita-neceser organizado por una chica australiana llamada Ros en su blog Sew Delicious. Nunca antes había participado en ningún otro intercambio pero este me llamó mucho la atención porque combinaba dos cosas que me encantan: los neceseres y el chocolate (¡una combinación perfecta!). De manera que empecé a investigar cómo podía participar y después de rellenar un pequeño cuestionario explicando nuestro estilo y preferencias, Ros se encargó de organizar a todas las participantes y formar las parejas para el intercambio.

Las consignas eran muy sencillas: 
- Hacer una bolsita o neceser y llenarlo de dulces o chocolatinas.
- Enviar la labor antes del 15 de febrero de 2013. 
- También nos animaba a "espiar"a nuestra pareja a través de Pinterest, Instagram, Blogs, Flickr... para investigar sus gustos y estilo. 
-¿Fácil no?

Well, I can't still show you what I made because my partner hasn't got the pouch yet and I prefer it to be a surprise, but what I can show you is what I received last Saturday... you can't imagine how excited I was when I got the beautifully wrapped parcel in the mail! I also want to say a big thank you to Danielle for taking the time to make this sweet pouch for me... I know that linen is such a pain to sew and so are the ruffles and all the details that you added but the pouch turned out so pretty and sweet that your time and effort was really worth it! I love linen and I am really pleased with the vintage trims and fabrics you used, the pouch is just awesome!

Pues bien, todavía no puedo enseñaros el neceser que he cosido a mi pareja porque no ella todavía no lo ha recibido y prefiero que sea una sorpresa pero lo que sí puedo enseñaros es lo que recibí el sábado pasado... no sabéis la ilusión que me hizo recibir mi regalito y agradezco muchísimo a Danielle que haya dedicado su tiempo a hacer este neceser para mí.  Sé lo difícil que es coser el lino y fruncir los volantitos y añadir todos esos detallitos pero el neceser quedó tan dulce y delicado ¡que su tiempo y esfuerzo han merecido la pena! Me encanta la combinación del lino con las cintas y telas vintage que usó Danielle, ¡el neceser es maravilloso!

Last but not least, I am really grateful to Danielle for having written a postcard that I will keep safely. And, a huge thank you too for having purchased such a great amount of chocolates and sweets... especially that sea salt caramel chocolate bar, yummy!!!

Por último, quiero darle también las gracias a mi compañera por haberme escrito una postal que me hizo mucha ilusión leer y guardaré de recuerdo. Además, Danielle incluyó golosinas y chocolatinas ¡cómo para parar un tren! De entre las chuches, merece especial mención esa barrita de chocolate con sal marina rellena de caramelo... ¡mmmmmmmmm!
